The short version

The Nerd Uncle collects nothing about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising identifier and no third-party tracking of any kind.

What the app stores

Every article ships inside the app. Reading one does not contact a server, so there is no record anywhere of what you read or when. Small preferences, such as where you stopped scrolling, stay on your own device and are deleted when you delete the app.

What the website stores

The site is static files served by Vercel. Vercel keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for operational and security purposes. We do not set analytics cookies and we do not run advertising.

If you join the mailing list

Giving us your email address is optional. It is used only to send issues of this publication, it is never sold or shared, and every email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately.

Payments

The app is free. Should that ever change, any purchase would be handled entirely by Apple. We would never see your card details.

Children

Nothing here is directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
